In Case You Have Questions About the NogginStik Developmental Rattle:

How does the lighted end/head of the NogginStik work? The light in the head of your NogginStik is activated by gently tapping or shaking the NogginStik – it does not take a lot of force to activate the light.  The light will turn on and the colors (red, blue, or green) can be changed by gently tapping or shaking the NogginStik. The light will stay on for approximately 40 seconds.

How do I care for my NogginStik? We recommend using baby-safe wipes to clean your NogginStik. The NogginStik should not be immersed in water or placed in a dishwasher or sterilizing device – such exposures may permanently damage the product.

Does the NogginStik contain batteries? Yes, the back of the NogginStik’s head is a battery cover. There are three 1.5V LR44/AG13 alkaline button cell batteries are behind the battery cover.

What if only the red light is working? When only the red light is working, that is an indication that the batteries are low. The batteries normally last four to six months, depending on use, and often more than one year. If the light in your NogginStik stops working after less than one year from the date of purchase, we will send a replacement…we want to keep your little one happy!

How do I change the batteries? To replace the batteries, open the battery compartment on the back of the NogginStik’s head using a small Phillips screwdriver (make sure the small screws and washers are not accessible to infants and small children when removed).  Insert the new batteries, making sure the positive and negative polarities match the illustration inside the battery compartment (see illustration below). All three batteries must be replaced at the same time…do not mix old and batteries. Also, non-rechargeable batteries should not be recharged, and do not mix different types of batteries – do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Replace the battery compartment cover using the screws and washers provided, and make sure both screws are tightened securely.
